Meet The Leadership Team
Howie is married to Judy for over 40 years. Before moving to Camrose in 2018, they both worked at the University of Saskatchwan. Howie worked for a number of religious charities and for Bethany College. Throughout their lives, both have been involved in the local church and its ministries in their area of gifting. They believe in the local church and its ministry to others in the church, as well as to the community.
Diane enjoys connecting with people and encouraging them in their walk as a follower of Jesus. That connection can happen around the dinner table with tasty food and conversation, over a good cup of coffee, going for a walk and enjoying God's creation, or visiting in the back yard enjoying the garden which is also one of her joys. She and her husband Keith love to travel as 2 of their 3 children and 4 of their 6 grandchildren live in Alaska and Norway.
Connie has attended the Camrose Church of God since 1990. Her passions are people and Bible Study. She organized several small groups over these past 30 years--"we have learned so much together"! From Sunday School groups to Ladies' groups to Home groups she enjoyed studying and discussing the Word of God, as well as getting to know so many great people. Currently she is part of a Bible study group with 10 others, and on the second year of serving on Leadership Team. She is married to Les, with 5 fabulous children, a grandmother to 3 and enjoys work as a physiotherapist.
Our Emmanuel is Faithful and worthy of all our trust--may He bless you with His grace and peace!
Steve is married to Cheryl with two daughters, Raelene and Katie. Depending who you talk to, he is a carpenter who loves art or he is an artist who is pretty good at carpentry. He loves both mediums and has been blessed to do what he loves. He attends the church for about 8 years and since then has served in many committees including his current role of being part of the Leadership Team. Both love this church and how God is moving through his people, bringing them together, caring for one another and willingly sharing this love with others.
Randy is one of the "Old Guys," and has been known to say, "back in the days." He enjoys a good cup of coffee and good conversation. He also has a keen interest in those of the visually impaired community. His favorite vers is in Phil 3:12-14
I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.
This is what drives him to carry on the race the Lord has set before all of us, and lay our mistakes before Him, and not carry them with us.
